Kaitiaki Property Services Limited and Kaitiaki Building Limited (together “Kaitiaki”, “we”, “us” or “our”) are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use and protect it, and your rights. It does not limit any rights you have under the Act. What we collect
The only personal information you actively give us through this website is what you enter in our contact form: your name, email address, an optional phone number, and your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to provide our services to you. We do not ask for identity documents, payment details, or financial information through this website, and we do not run a newsletter or marketing list from it.
Like most websites, our hosting platform automatically records limited technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, the pages requested, and the date and time, in standard server logs used to operate and secure the site.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this website, and Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to monitor how quickly pages load. Google Analytics places cookies on your device and collects information such as which pages you view, approximately where in the world you are, and which website or search brought you here. We use it only to understand how the site is used overall. We do not use it to identify you personally, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell the data.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on every website by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking or clearing cookies in your browser. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights remain cookieless and anonymous. We set no advertising or marketing cookies of our own. Our office-location pages display a map image from Mapbox and may link to or embed Google Maps; these third parties may set their own cookies and collect usage data under their own privacy policies (mapbox.com/legal/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy). If you follow a link from our site to another website, that site’s own privacy policy will apply.
How we use your information

Storing and protecting your information
Your contact-form enquiry is stored in our website’s secure content-management system and reviewed by our team. Our website and database are hosted on Vercel and Neon infrastructure, which may store data in data centres outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, but no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, so any information you send us is at your own risk.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may ask to access the personal information we hold about you and to correct it if it is wrong. To make a request, or if you have any questions or concerns about your privacy, please use the contact details in the "Contact us" section below.
