Chris is a senior architect based in our Auckland office. He has a wealth of design & delivery experience from city-sized masterplans to bespoke single-family residential.

Chris has designed and delivered numerous successful projects nationally and internationally over his multifaceted career – driven by a passion for urbanism, technology, and regenerative design. Notable achievements include leading the design of one of the world’s largest shopping malls in Kuwait and working on a major land reclamation project in St Petersburg, Russia. A recent highlight, closer to home, includes the St Joseph’s Māori Girls College refurbishment project in Napier – balancing historic preservation with modernising student facilities.

Chris studied architecture at Victoria University in Wellington and has over 20 years of professional experience.  Following his formative years working for a commercial practice in Wellington, he spent eight years with a global multi-disciplinary firm in London, gaining international expertise in masterplanning, urban design, and various project types across Europe, the Middle East, North America, Asia, and the Pacific.

At Kaitiaki, Chris values being part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering turn-key solutions. He appreciates the diverse team culture and the continuous learning opportunities provided by the variety of project typologies. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys trail running, cooking, gardening, and reading. An avid traveller, he has explored 32 countries so far.
