Qualifications
Phil has successfully delivered a range of commercial development projects and provided tenancy coordination services since he stepped into his Project Management role in 2018. He has also delivered multiple Ministry of Education school projects and Kāinga Ora housing projects around the central North Island.
Phil graduated from Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland in 2005 and began his career as an Architectural Graduate working on high-end residential projects for eight years. Following this, he spent another five years with a commercial practice in Tauranga, where he designed, documented and project managed notable projects such as the Liz van Welie Aquatic Centre and the Tauranga Airport Terminal Expansion.
Phil loves the challenge of learning new things and constantly improving his skills. He enjoys working with clients, consultants, and contractors; establishing long-term relationships while delivering excellent results. Thinking outside the box and solving problems creatively is a key part of his approach. He draws on his extensive architectural experience to understand construction detailing and the importance of design aesthetic, while managing the essentials of budget and programme.
Outside of work, Phil enjoys long-distance running, both on road and trail. He is a dedicated family person, prioritising time spent outdoors and exploring with his two children.
